Frequently Asked Questions

What makes PCMarket Computer Studio Computers Different?

Our custom built computers are built around the following principles: customisation, speed and reliability

What's the Advantage of having a custom built computer?

As every computer system is customised, building only starts when you place your order and is built with the latest technology instead of being built months ahead and shipped from overseas like an off the shelf computer.

How long will it take to build my computer?

A typical custom computer build can take between 3 - 5 days for assembly and testing once all the required parts are allocated to your order.

Why does it take so long to have my computer built?

As every customers computer is different, we build all systems the old fashioned way one at a time and by the same technician from start to finish. We do not build our systems on assembly lines and by building systems the old fashioned way we can test and tweak each one to make sure everything works before shipping your computer.

Can I purchase my computer without an Operating System?

We do understand that many people have already invested money into purchasing software licences. As part of the testing process a testing copy of Windows will be installed on your system but if you do not purchase a licence at the same time this test installation will be deleted before shipping.

What's the difference from buying the 'same parts' from somewhere else and having it built for me?

When we custom build your computer we are providing you a complete package that will provide the best performance possible without compromising reliability. If you are just looking for somewhere that can pass along 'parts in a box' at the cheapest price then there are many other shops doing that.

Why not build a computer myself?

We do sell computer parts in component form to customers who wish to build the computers themselves. More often than not we find customers bringing the parts back to our shop to have us assemble the system for them, after unsuccessfully attempting to build the computer themselves. As we do not charge for the assembly and testing, many of our customers prefer to have us build the computer for them as they are tired of the headache of hardware conflicts and lack of warranty support. By purchasing a complete system you can be assured that you are receiving a complete package that has been tested to work in harmony together performing as designed fast and reliably. In addition many customers compliment us on the fact that we built their computer with more care and attention to detail than they would have done themselves.

Tell me about the Warranty Details

We offer 2 levels of warranty.
Our Standard default warranty covers systems for a one year period, the warranty covers parts and labour for a one year period and return shipping to the customer from PCmarket. Under the standard warranty shipping costs incurred returning the system for warranty repair will be the responsibility of the customer. Email and Phone support are provided for the one year period.
Our Priority warranty covers systems for a three year period. The coverage includes parts, labour and shipping of the system from and back to the customer. Should you encounter a serious problem related to hardware failure which cannot be solved over the phone or email, PCMarket will arrange and pay to have your system picked up, repaired and returned to you. Additionally lifetime technical support by Email or Phone is provided as long as you remain the owner of the system.

Do you offer on-site warranties?

No we do not offer on-site warranties as quite frankly after having used a multiple warranty companies in the past we could not find one with staff or contractors competant enough to do the job properly.

Can I upgrade the computer system myself?

Opening and Disassembling of the computer system may void the technical support service and warranty. Please contact technical staff before performing such activities so we may note this down on your records. Should a system failure be found to be caused by parts installed or uninstalled by customers, to which PCMarket were not notified of prior to installtion, repair will not be covered by the warranty.

Can I talk to someone in person and order in store?

Customers are welcome to discuss their computer build with our staff at our Rydalmere location located at Unit G1, 3 Clyde st Rydalmere. We are open Monday to Friday from 10am to 6pm.

Why do PCMarket Custom Build Computers cost more than a PC from ____?

Highly trained staff cost more. Building each PC one at a time and not on an assembly line costs more. Supporting our own warranties so the job is done properly costs more. Keeping our technical support inhouse costs more. Maintaining our high standards of customer service costs more.

Tell me about payment options

We accept payment by Direct Deposit, Bpay or Credit Card. Credit Card payments incur a 3% surcharge. All orders must be paid in full before the building of your computer will commence.
